How to Find Your Lost/Stolen Android

The first solution, and certainly the most effective on Android devices, is to use the Google Find My Device service. However, you must have performed some operations to activate it, because unfortunately it is not active by default. I know that at this moment you have no way of verifying whether or not it is active, because you do not have physical access to the phone. However, I want to summarize the settings necessary for it to work, it could be useful when you find the phone.

To activate this function, the device must be associated with a Google account. Furthermore, you must go to Settings and continue on Security and privacy (or Security). Now choose the Device search tools item (if necessary) and verify that under Find my device there is ON. Otherwise, tap on Find my device and move the lever relative to Use Find my device. The phone must also be turned on and connected to the Internet.

Now connect to this web page and log in with the same Google account that you use on the lost smartphone. If asked, because you have multiple devices connected to this account, select the phone you want to find.

At this point you have a screen with a map in front of you where a cursor indicates the geolocation of the phone on the map, it is precise enough but not enough to indicate the room of your house where it is located. So you have to use the Play audio button: by clicking on it your phone will start ringing with the ringtone that you normally use for phone calls (even if you left it on silent mode).
