How to Turn Off Motion Photos: iPhone

You recently purchased an iPhone after many years of using an Android smartphone. You are still not very familiar with this operating system, so you still have difficulty adjusting some of the device's settings, including those dedicated to the camera. In fact, you have noticed that your iPhone always takes moving photos that, although they are very nice to look at while scrolling through your device's photo gallery, you have noticed that they take up a lot of space in your iPhone's internal memory.

For this reason, therefore, you would like to understand how to remove moving photos on iPhone, isn't it? Don't worry, I'll help you.

The first thing you need to do is open the Camera app natively present on your iPhone. Once you reach the main screen, to deactivate the shooting of moving photos, press the circular button located at the top right which will deactivate the shooting of Live photos.

Once the function is deactivated, the button will show a crossed-out icon and the word Live: No will briefly appear. Once this is done, you can take photos in “standard” mode by pressing the appropriate shutter button.

What do you say? Have you changed your mind and want to re-activate the Live shooting function on your iPhone? No problem, in this case all you have to do is press the button at the top right again which, once activated, will no longer show the crossed-out icon and, for a short time, will make the word Live appear with a yellow outline.

I would like to point out that, if you want, you can transform a Live Photo already taken into a normal photo by opening it in the Photos app, pressing the Live button at the top left and choosing No from the menu that opens. Alternatively, you can modify the shot representing a Live Photo by pressing the Edit button at the top right, then on the Live icon at the bottom and selecting the desired frame from the menu that appears at the bottom.
