How to turn off motion photos: Android

You own an Android smartphone that has a stock Android version interface, so you would like to understand how to remove motion photos Android.

If you have a smartphone from the Google Pixel series, for example, open the Google Camera (called Pixel Camera on the most recent models) and tap on the button with the gear icon that you find at the bottom left. From the menu that opens, select the crossed out icon that you find next to the Automatic Best Shot item, which, once deactivated, will become OFF.

Once you have done this, the smartphone will take a single photo when you press the button dedicated to taking photos. Obviously, if you want to activate this function again, just enter the same menu and press on the icon with the letter A, which will activate the Automatic Best Shot function again.

In case you want to transform a moving photo already taken into a static photo, don't worry, you just need to open the latter in the Gallery and share it normally, as it will be automatically exported as a static image and not as a video (although this behavior may vary from device to device, so check; alternatively I recommend you "peek" into the settings of the Gallery app or in the three-dot menu that you find next to the shot you want to share).

What do you say? You don't have an Android smartphone with a stock interface or from Google's Pixel series? Then in this case you just have to continue reading the next paragraphs, where I will show you how to act with the smartphones of the main brands in the Android world.
